As I have continued sitting with Esther's story, I have found myself returning to one of the Bible's most familiar verses. Yet the more I have reflected on Mordecai's words, the more I have realised that "for such a time as this" is not simply about discovering our purpose. It is about recognising God's greater story, trusting His faithfulness, and responding to His invitation to participate in what He is already doing.

In Esther chapter two, we encounter a detail that can easily be overlooked. Before Esther ever spoke publicly, her identity remained hidden. Rather than seeing this as fear or denial, this blog explores the possibility that God sometimes protects identity before He releases voice. Through the stories of Esther, Joseph, David and Jesus, we consider the relationship between timing, wisdom and spiritual formation, and why silence is not always the absence of purpose.
